When mentioning modifying the input shaft
I was referring to the internal mainshaft and the size
of the tip and its bearing. the 3 rail GT6 mineshaft
has a smaller tip than the single rail. You need to bore out
the gear end to accommodate the larger single rail main shaft.
The input shaft from the GT6 and the GT6 bell housing
obviously must be used together.

This CAN be done...but most people apparently
machine down the mainshaft tip to fit inside the
GT6 input shaft. To me this would seem to weaken
the single rail mainshaft..as this was the reason the diameter
was increased to begin with.
