Back in my poor college days when I had to settle for a MG midget
instead of a Triumph, I used to set my tappets with the engine running.
At low rpm's the oil did not kick-up, but I sure flattened a lot of
feeler gauges in the process...<G>

So, Mark, when you use this method to adjust your rockers, how much of a
mess does it make? I mean, it seems like you'd be getting oil spray
everywhere ...
