Not worth anywhere near $6500 in my opinion.  You didn't mention the
engine--has it been completely rebuilt and looks brand spanking new?  If
so, and if the body's as good as you say, MAYBE in the 4000 to 5000 range,
otherwise, I'd say the guy's asking at least twice what the car is worth.
Start adding it up: you'd have to paint it, rechrome it, redo the
interior, and assemble it at least.  That all would cost you $3-4000
alone.

If if has an overdrive transmission, that might add 10% to the value.
Aside from the front apron and grille, no part that I can think
of is particularly rare.

Offer the guy $2000, that is, if you think you won't have to rebuild the
engine.
