Just another FYI - part of the DOT specs is that headlamps for US
market (LHD) are designed so that any single lamp can be used either on
Drivers' or Passenger side of the car as long as the top is correctly
positioned. That wasn't true in the 30's (maybe 40's) or possibly in
other markets.
