Oh, but it can.
a. If you have an original head without collars around the inlet valves, it
can enter the combustion chamber. This will burn oil, and might lead
to burnt exhaust valves.
b. For a worn engine, more oil up top means less oil pressure and less
oil to the crankshaft.
The restriction to the top oil feed was carefully engineered, and put
there for a reason by the engine designers. I'm not saying that the extra
oil feed to the rockers are all bad, but it is most certainly not all good
either.
