Ray,
I was concerned about this myself,But was relieved to read on the
package that the unit will operate anywhere from 5 or 6 volts(a guess I
dont recall exactly the numbers)to 36v? (again a guess) but I do know
that it made me feel safe using it at 12v This is an older unit-pre
crane. I have only used it like this for a short time and will keep
track of the temp. Thanks.
