Yeah, ditto here, only I'd advocate buying the pukkah repair workshop
manual. Some people are born spanner wizards. I'm not; my hands might as
well be hooves. However, with one of these books I can do most
mechanical stuff without even swearing. The manual is available from
Rimmer Bros., Moss and others. Rimmer, for example, can be reached on
+44 1522 567000.
