Scot-
You ask questions about your GT6...
You know you're gonna get an opinion
you know your gonna get a fact
you might get a jewel
you might get crap

so here's my entry, you can decide where it falls in the above list
In regards to the exhaust sytem, I would say to run the largest SINGLE pipe
exhaust system you can get under your car,
using a straight through style muffler of your favotite brand based
on how loud you like (can get away with). The reason I say this is two-fold.
Although I have never dyno-ed this engine, I have dyno-ed others, and none
has ever liked a dual exhaust system
(excluding V type motors) as much as a single style. Also, all
pertinent Tr tuners that I have read about, say that the single system will
make the most power.
If you are seriously going to autocross your car, you are not going to be
happy with the 3.27 rear end for long. Try to find an overdrive for your car
so you can run the lower rear end (you may
as well do it now while it is apart). Running the lower rear end will also
free up your cam choices. My best suggestion here is to contact a cam grinder
that you trust and tell him what you are trying to do, they usually will have
the best ideas. If you try to
compare cams between grinders, be very careful of the specs they use as it is
almost impossible to actually compare numbers.
Some grinders will take their specs @ 0.020" lift, others at 0.050"
and others at only 0.013" and some will not advertise where their
specs are taken other than to say @ nominal lift. The numbers
from any of theses grinders are only useful for comparing cams
with the same measuring criteria, and there is absolutley no way to
compare between them.

                                             Just another OPINION
                                                     Nick
