Sorry, but I believe this report as much as those which claim VSR is
reduced! These devices simple CANNOT do anything to the petrol - good or
bad, they are totally insoluble in petrol.
        Incidentally, last year I received a brochure from a company
claiming to be the source manufacturer for ALL of these tin-pellet devices,
which are marketed under various names, eg, Broquet, Fuel Cat. I received
this as a special promotion to our club members (I am Registrar for the
Standard Atlas Register). Now all of these devices make slightly different
claims of what they supposedly do, yet this supplier claimed they are all
the same! I threw away the brochure - I now wish I'd sent it to the
Advertising Standards Authority instead, as they have made at least 9
Adjudications against adverts for this kind of device in the last couple of
