Regarding the use of copper/pvc/black iron pipes for air. We are in
the process of modifying the air lines in my facility here at Ford.
One of the things that we have done is to add hose reels at the end
of the copper pipes. The hose reels are very convenient, and with the
usual quick disconnects, you can still use any tools that you may want.

The hose reel addresses both the questions flexibility and convenience.
