Craig,
Locally I would recommend JNW Engine and Machine in Santa Rosa on Piner road
near Harbor Freight.  I have also heard good things about Norm's in Petaluma.
Since you have a mini you may want to look into Seven Enterprises in Auburn.
they specialize in mini's.  I had them do the machine work on my bugeye 1275
engine a few years ago.
