PaulK - the Unipart set that I have had for some time are complete with
shims, spit-pins and retaining springs, but some Mintex I bought more
recently were just the pads. I am pretty sure my calipers have the cut-outs
as well, and I also apply a very thin smear of grease on every
metal-to-metal contact (including between shim and pad) when fitting. No
squeal. I started doing this way back when asbestos was first dropped as a
matter of having to.

Cheers,
PaulH.
