Slippage is a whole different deal. Based on my own experience everyone has
varying degrees of slippage on the salt. Right up to the point where they
spin out. With your tires at 60 lbs of air there shouldn't be much growth.

Since you already have some tread on the tire you might try some of the
rubber softener that Bob recommended, might be worth experimenting with.
