Same on the 2000, although on the 2L the knurled screw is on the throttle
cable turnbuckle.  That's the screw that started this thread and is used for
high speed synchronizing of the carbs.  FWIW, I always used the throttle
lock to sync the carbs at speed.

On the 1600 [don't know about the 2000]  there is a knurled screw on the
throttle linkage between the throttle cable half-wheel and the turnbuckle
to the front carb.  This will move the entire linkage when tightened.
