Hi folks,
Last May I bought an 18MPG, 65hp, '80MGB w/OVD, a single Zenith Stromberg
carb, and wire wheels. Now 7000 miles later and after having my butt whipped
recently by a Miata I want some PERFORMANCE. This is what I plan to install/do
along with an engine rebuild over the holidays:
9.2 to 1 pistons
1/4 race cam
Weber downdraft
K&N air filter
Peco Header and a Peco exhaust
Mallory Dual point distributor
remove air pump
Now can someone tell me :
What can I expect after I do this (0-60, 1/4 mile, HP, MPG)?
Anything else I should/shouldn't do or install?
Can I get a better deal than $375 for a Peco header AND exhaust?
Good/Cheap source for parts new or used besides Moss and British Victoria?
Anyone try the 1798cc to 1950cc conversion (or is this a 30 minute engine)?
Do wires need any periodic maintenenace?
