I do know the mammoth car was the train looking thing,
even though I never watched speed racer.
We only had two stations in the little town we lived
in and neither one showed it. I saw one episode at a
family friend's place in Detroit when I was 6. It was
"Race with the Mammoth Car". I think it would have
completely faded from memory except that at the end
the story it said, "To Be Continued." I was annoyed at
the time because I knew I would never get to see part
two. Fast forward 18 years later and I was lying
around flipping through channels about midnight one
night when I happened upon "Speed Racer". They were
showing "Race with the Mammoth Car Part II" So of
course I had to watch it to find out how it ended. To
date, these are the only two episodes of Speed Racer I
have ever watched all the way through.
The ironic thing is I can't remember the story now.
