It always seems faster when you're riding than when you're driving, at least
it does for me. Craig took my Miata for a couple of rounds on the Sunday
fun runs, and the first run I was worried that he was really going to
embarrass me with the time he turned in my own car, but it ended up being
less than a 0.1 seconds faster than my previous run. It just seemed a whole
lot faster as a passenger, you just can't compare riding and driving.
See if you can talk one of the fast Miata guys into a ride. It's damn fun,
and you'll learn a whole lot. I knocked 3.5 seconds of my best run at
Marina after one run ride with Craig.
