Sorry I missed this SC meeting, because while I agree with the spirit of the
"refund" move, I think the logic is a little strange. The St. Louis region,
which inspired the generous move, is only a little over 300 miles from Topeka.
San Jose is 6 times as far. Refunding the fee would probably cover our gas
expenditure just to get out of the state of CA. So, while I think getting fee
money back would be nice, it's a pretty neglible cost compared to what it takes
to get to Topeka and back. Again, I think it is a nice gesture in the right
spirit. Of course, I can't think of a better way to spend that money in an
effort to support Rookie attendance at Nats, so it's all piss and wind.
