I 'spose one could cut 2" holes in the roof wherever the tube junctions need
to be welded.  After all, "pretty" is WAY down my list of priorities.

Someone else suggested cutting holes in the floor, dropping the cage through
them to weld around the top and then lifting the cage back up and welding
the floor plates in place.  

Hmm, somehow I'd feel safer cutting holes in the roof sheet metal than the
floor board.  Or am I way off base here?
