I asked the same thing to Howard Duncan. Here is his reply:
"DS has been set up as the factory hot rod or tuner class. The power to
weight of the S4 is in line with the Type R and the WRX, as well as fitting
conceptually."
So now you know - the hundreds of thousands of BMW 325s running around are
"factory hot rods or tuner cars".
