Paul, I was watching...and to me it looked pretty damned close. We are
all glad that worked out okay. I was reminded of last years Los Angelse
Pro. :-O

Course designers...at this weekends autocross (I hated the Saturday
course, loved the Sunday course...but that is personal preference),
there was a few outside corners with far spaced out cones.

Since I spent a large part of the weekend instructing newbies, I noticed
a lot of them wanted to exit the course in the same spot. There seemed
to be a lot of cones inside the corner, but few on the outside of the
corners in these spots. It's lile someone threw out x number of cones on
both side, but the larger radius just spaces them out more.

This was particularly noticeable on the second left turn after the start
on Sunday. I think we do newbies a favor is the cones are not spaced
more than a 10 feet apart on those critical outside corners. If you had
to hit a cone, you probably know you went off course. All IMHO of
course.
