I put a spin on on my 69 and the oil pressure comes up very fast at cold
start. It is amost instantaneous.
BTW while on the subject of cold starts, the worst thing you can do to your
motor (well maybe not the worst, worst) is cold start with the clutch in.
Get in the habit of putting the thing in neutral EVERY time you start the car.
If you can bear the inconvenience, putting it in neutral at red lights is a
good idea too. Of course that means you let the clutch out!!
