Joe,
I don't know how loud they are on a '6 installation. I know there are
some on this list that think they are terrible. I have the monza setup
with a header on my '78 Spitfire and I love it. The sound with the top
down is wonderful especially down the highway. The noise level with the
top up is pretty high but hen so was the noise level before I added the
monza. I think a lot has to do with how you install the exhaust outlets.
My system splits to two and then four pipes to outlet the noise. Each
split reduces the energy of the pulse and defuses some sound . I think
it's very important to get the outlet out from under the car and as far
back as possible. Mine are at the same plane as the rear surface of the
back bumper. If the sound is still too harsh a pair of flowmasters would
civilize it. I've been told that the vibration behind me is
considerable to vehicles following closely when I'm under heavey
acceleration.
Enjoy
