The VG30 is iron block/aluminum heads, approximately 160HP stock depending
on intake/exhaust configuration. The V6 in the newer Maxima is the VQ 30 -
all aluminum and very nice, like you said. The VG30 is about 100lbs heavier
than the U20 and the V configuration adds lots of aggravation installing in
a Roadster.
