Play it safe. That's the word. I have quite good info
from a domestic car manufacturer here that is now under
the Ford "umbrella". You wouldn't believe what people there
do to make case out of anything. Car manufacturers rather
play it extra safe in USA and therefore the cars become
more boring. Emissions are not a problem as the rest of
the world have to 99% the same regulations. California
have a lower max. level for NOX to reduce the smog/ozone
related emissions.

I think that the main reason for the Skyline not being
sold in USA are liability issues apart from being RHD only.
It's sold in England now.
