I have been hit by this virus and I hope I did not pass it on. It
automatically sends to all mail boxes and will open a web site automatically
on a certain date. Sorry if it got to you guys!

New Computer Virus at MSFC
An email message titled, "Here You Have..." propogated rapidly through the
Center's email system on Monday 2/12/00 with a computer virus payload
attachment. The attachment is named, "Annakournikova.jpg.vbs". Norton
anti-virus signature definition files were received at MSFC on Monday
evening. All IDS/DDS PC users should reboot their computer workstation, or
log off and back on, in order to update the computer anti-virus protections.
When the computer is rebooted, the anti-virus application will run to update
signature files, prompt to reboot the workstation, then scan the computer
system, remove any registry changes made by the the virus, and quarantine
any infected files. Users should contact the ODIN Help Desk in the event of
problems in running this update.
All computer users should be cautious of opening any suspicious or
unsolicited email messages. If in doubt, delete suspicious email from inbox
and deleted files folders immediately without opening the message or any
attached files. Questions on computer viruses and other forms of hostile
computer codes should be directed to organizational Computer Security
Officials, or the MSFC Information Technology Security Coordinator at
544-4373.
