There are two Volvo dual calipers, one for a vented rotor and one for a 
non-vented
rotor.  The reason that they used two separate breaking systems is that they 
connect one
of the pistons in each front wheel with one of the rear calipers.  Both bores 
in the
master cyl, are the same, so if you blow a hose or a seal you will still have 
half of
each fron break, and one of the rears also.

I have a set of non vented calipers in case anyone wants to give this a try.  
They are
off an '82 240.  The same breaks were used on most of the 260's also.
