Yep my gas gauge works about the same way.

I'm not sure what the oil pressure gauge means.

My water temp is intermentant with grounding problems.
when it does work I don't know what is means either.

With my alternator conversion the amp meter measures 
discharges but not charges.

My tachometer filled with oil again so I pulled the cable.

My trip odometer only flips the the 10 mile digit half the time.

My clock is slow.

My headlights dim at 4000 rpm.

My hand throttle cable is broken again.

The last time I hit 7 grand in first gear the spring loaded brake
warning lightcame flying out of the socket and hit me in the right arm.

But hey - the speedometer is accurate to 2 percent!

Roadsters are great fun!
