Please. Like a "National Champion" that only won one event isn't just as
bad.
(Please note, I'm picking on the process, not the champions themselves.
Every national champion I've met or heard about has been a hell of a
driver. I just think basing a national championship on only one event is
kinda silly).
There are other options for points. Split the country into East and West
sections and have two champions, with Nationals as it stands. I don't buy
the travel argument. Its a heck of a lot easier for me to get a day here
and there to attend events over the weekend than it is to get 1.5 weeks to
get to Kansas. Witness the ProSolo stuff now. Seems like a lot of the
top dogs go to every event.
