this is getting pretty existential -- don't you realize that you were just
looking at a projected image on a screen masquerading as the reality of
someone pretending to be someone else pretending to do something to
something that wasn't all it appeared to be?  but I can vouch for the fact
that the ravine was real ... if you're willing to accept the appearance of a
few bits on your computer screen as a representation of me!!

this always seems to happen when racing season is over and too many people
have too much time to think about stuff instead of trying to fix whatever
broke the last time they abused their car, pretending to be doing something
else at someother time....

signing off for a cold one -- it's after 5:00 somewhere!
