On my 74 TR6, tank devd a leak around the outlet fitting.  I took out the 
tank and had it repaired at a specialty shop.
The whole process made me realize that i never want to get rearended.......if 
it happens it will be an inferno......reminiscent of the early Mustang 
problem where the gas came into the passenger compt.
Oh well, the chances we take for some fun.
