The fitting is frozen in the water pump housing. I've been using PB Blaster
daily to try to free it. I have 3/8" and 1/2" NPT plugs standing by until the
day it decides to yield. It looks bigger than 3/8" but I can't see it well
enough to tell. I'm running the engine almost daily so the heating and cooling
may help too. I don't want to break anything in the water pump housing. That
repair would be no fun. It might lead to more advanced stages of shipwrights
disease.

Thanks,
