Halogen lights are definitely worth the effort, and as some listers have
pointed out, the fitting of relays prolongs the life of the lighting
components (wires, switches and bulbs) as well as giving even better
performance.

For the ultimate light, the Xenon bulb is best. Be sure to get the correct
type. For some reason, people think the "Arctic blue" Xenon bulbs look
"cool", but in my opinion as an on-coming driver, they are very uncool -
they dazzle and give an undefined light.

However the WHITE Xenon bulbs give out a whiter (read brighter than halogen)
well defined light and do not dazzle on-coming drivers. Having fitted
55W/60W Xenon H4 bulbs or 55W H1 to all three of our cars, I can highly
recommend them.
