The US Department of Transportation and the Illinois State Police feel the
same way. If you want bluish lights make sure they are DOT approved. I
remember reading about one case where some lamps were labeled misleadingly
to imply that they had DOT approval. A lot of unsuspecting motorists got
nailed for "trying to be cool without a license". ;{)
