Check out a Marine hardware store or boat yard. Several years ago I
reupholstered some boat seats and was able to purchase some MONEL staples
which are corrosion resistant to salt water. They should last even in places
like Upstate New York where only pure salt is used in the winter. Of course
if you drive a Triumph in such conditions, come spring all that you will have
left is a handful of MONEL staples.
