Bob - DON'T cut & weld; DPO did that on a car a friend has. It worked and
looked ok until my friend went to do some refurbishment. Trim panels didn't
line up; top & tonneau don't fit right; right rear still and the door
doesn't close. From what we can figure out, there was about 1/2" to 3/4"
added at the top (elbow) rail just behind the Bpost. Also, the cut/weld
started to rust. Evidently it wasn't sealed & primed correctly on the
backside of the dogleg. He is now in the process of re-constructing that
whole section. NOT a happy camper...

Saws-all? No, I use an air powered cutoff wheel. But I I had to, I would.
Try the spacer trick first though. It takes a bit of time to figure out the
right combination, and you need to tighten the bolts down, but you can do a
surprising amount of adjusting this way.
