Personally, I have a 165-15 that is probably 10-15 years old and fully
inflated. Getting it in isn't too hard, but getting it out is a problem.
I keep a rope tied around it, so I can pull on the rope.

However, there seems to be several listings on the web for new 155R15 tires
that should work just fine.
Coker has Michelins ($$$), Vredestein makes a snow tire, Volvo 760's use
'em for a compact spare, etc. Volvo 964 and 965 use a 125/90-15 which
should also work fine (someone must make 'em).
The Vredesteins can be ordered from
http://www.tiresunlimited.com/vred_sprint_steel.htm for $45.
155R15 is also a standard size for older Citroen 2CV, so should be quite
common in Europe.
