FWIW: I have a 590 x 15 in my spare compartment and can only get it in
by having the pressure down to about 18 psi.

What solutions have others come up with for a TR3 spare?  Running around
with a 30+ year-old spare that is not fully inflated isn't so good.  Is
there a modern tire available that will fit in the compartment?
