Tested the anti-dieseling valve by using a test section of wire with

when I turn off the engine.  ANY IDEAS ON THE IGNITION SWITCH?

The engine is running at 10 degrees BTDC, I am still running a 190 degree
thermostat, N9Y plugs,  lean mixture,  idle rpm at 900, and the Jacobs
ignition box is still connected.

I guess I will not have to do the worst case scenario of taking the head
off
again to have the combustion chambers smoothed out and polished (the
machine
shop did not do polishing of chambers).

Martin,

Go to a Radio Shack (or an auto parts store) and buy a relay with a
12 volt coil and SPDT contacts.  Also get the crimp-on connectors you
will need.  Wire up the realy as follows: connect one winding terminal to
a white wire (hot when the key is on, not when the key is not.)  Connect
the other winding terminal to chassis.  Connect the COM (common) contact
terminal to a brown wire (always hot) and the NC (normally closed) contact
to the anti-run-on valve.

With this configuration the relay will not supply 12 volts to the valve
as long as the key is on.  When the key is off the relay will de-energize
and the normally closed contacts will supply 12 volts to the valve.  The
valve will remained energized until the oil pressure switch senses the oil
pressure dropping to zero.

This will enable you to use your existing switch.
