Another bit of trivia:
The GT6 MkI and Vitesse 1600 engines appear to be identical
from the outside, but practically nothing interchanges
directly.  The Vitesse 1600 head has smaller valves.  As
somebody else noted, the TriumphTune catalog goes into
great detail on installing a 2.5 in a GT6, right down to
commission numbers and how to tweak it for performance.
