I am contemplating different carburation on my 1977/78 1500cc
Spitfire (presently has the stock Zenith Stromberg).
I am very happy with the Weber DGAV downdraft on another
car with the 1500 cc engine, so I may go that route. However,
I presently have a pair of recently overhauled SU (H2?) carbs
from a 1973 1275 cc Midget.
1) Would this carburation be adequate? an improvement? Has anyone
on this list done this? What problems arise?
2) Does anyone have an appropriate intake manifold for this engine/
carburators that they would part with for a reasonable price?
3) Or, does anyone have a good used Weber carb with manifold for sale?
