Ray,
I have 1 1/4" SU2's on my 1500 engine. They are on a manifold from a
1300. I put them on as a replacement for a Weber DCOE side draft. It
works fine, but I had to replace the metering needles on mine because the
curve was inadequate. Depending on what modifications you have on your
engine, the stock 1300 needles (DD) may work. I am currently running some
from an MG 1600 engine. They work very vell until I get up in the upper
RPM range with full throttle. At that point I get a severe fall-off, like
the engine dies. As soon as I ease off the gas, it picks back up again.
So I'll have to ask Joe Curto (Mr. SU) what other needles may compensate.

BTW, my engine has high compression pistons and free flow exhaust, which
requires different jetting from a stock 1500. The European 1500's had dual
HS4's (1 1/4") and had more HP than the de-tuend US engines.

Hope that helps, Let me know what you do and how it turns out.

Joe
