The Hardy Spicer unit info reads...

Specifically developed to eliminate the inherent flaws and associated
safety problems of the original Triumph unit, this is not a re-manufactured
upgrade. It is a totally new product.

Using the latest technology, the troublesome sliding spline and universal
joints have been replaced with two state of the art contant velocity joints
giving it a design life of up to 100,000 miles.

Available in three different lenghts to fit all Triumphs including
performance models such as the TR4a, TR5 and TR6, the new drive shaft can
be supplied with a rebuilt rear hub as one complete bolt-on unit, or on its
own depending on your requirements.

Whichever option you choose, the originality of your car is assured, no
modifications are required, so an original shaft can be refitted at any time.

Whereas reconditioned units have only a relatively short life span, this ne
innovation has an estimated design life of up to 100,000 miles, so you can
simply fit it and forget it.

SOUNDS GREAT DOES'NT IT
