Good suggestion -- that approximates the maximum ABSOLUTE pressure in the
cylinder.  To get even closer to the maximum gauge reading you'll see from a
"perfect" cylinder, remember that the gauge shows the pressure differential
between the inside of the cylinder and the atmosphere.  Therefore, the
DIFFERENTIAL equals:
  (Atmospheric Pressure X Compression Ratio) - Atmospheric Pressure

A 10:1 compression ratio thus should yield (14.8 X 10)-14.8  or about 13.3
