I to am restoring my first car. Both in terms of first restoration and
literally. A '59 TR3A I got on my sixteenth birthday in '68 (go figure).
Jeff, have fun. Jane, I envy you and hope to join (sometime in the next
three or four years!)

Jeff,
Congrats on turning 16, I got my GT6 when I was 19, 25 years ago. I just
got the car running again and its awesome to have it back. I wouldn't go
with Farmers Ins, they wanted me to pay for painting a dent already on the
bonnet when they had to paint the whole thing. Very dumb. My company is
USAA which is very good but I think you have to have some military
affiliation to get that, maybe not now. None of the insurance companies
are cheap IMO. Anyway good luck and happy driving.

Hey all,
I'm going to turn 16 Nov 15. Surprised? I just hadn't mentioned it.
Anyway, I need to find some reasonable insurance to drive the GT6 and _all_
adivce is appreciated. You get discounts for a 3.0 GPA, and I have a 3.5 at
the moment. You also get discounts for having taken driver's ed, which I
have. There are other discounts as well.
I've already posted something in rec.autos.antique, which started
somewhat of a flame war, without me meaning to :-O.
Anyway, any and all advice appreciated!
