You may want to look at powder coating. Most power coats are resistant to
attack by brake fluid. Eastwood (http://www.eastwoodco.com/) has a system for
automotive restorers. Looks like it would be easy to use.
You can also look at plating the parts.
Wax will not work against brake fluid. It will get dissolved just like the
paint. Black Oxide is covered with a wax. Unfortunately it is only considered
as a decorative and not a protective finish.
Bluing or Brown coating of steel also makes a reasonably protective finish as
long as it is kept dry and not damaged. Unfortunately I do not think this
would work for most car parts, except in the interior of the car. For a brake
master cylinder this may be OK since the part in the engine compartment.
