Roger,
I had the SUs on my 67. Don't know what version (HS 4?) they were. But,
you are correct. The float bowl tops are interchangagle. I once had a
carb die on me so I only had 1 carb. I took a piece of cardboard and
blanked off the failed carb, and swapped the float bowl tops and limped
the 30 miles home.

They should still be adjustable. The arm from the pivot to the float should
be metal. You bend this lightly to adjust the float level.
I can't find my 67 shop manual right now. So I can't look up the exact
level setting for the foat.
