No... unless you replace the entire ring gear and carrier as a unit (as
well as the pinion gear) which you really have to don anyway, since they
are not only a matched set, but they have a different gear count.  The
outer cases for Spitfires and GT6s are all the same, as are most of the
internal pieces, but the carrier (what the ring gear is bolted to) for the
3.27 is unique in its offset for the 3.27 gear set (the ring gear mounting
flange on the carrier is about .09 offset more towards the outside of the
case) - and the carrier is what usually breaks anyway - so chances are if
the rear end breaks, the part you need will unfortunately be the broken
part anyway!

If you really need a 3.27 and your old one breaks, you can scour the junk
yards for an early, small pumpkin TR7 with an automatic.  These came with
3.27 gears, but you will have to transfer all the internals to your case as
the pumpkin for the TR7, while outwardly looking identical, doesn't have
the four front mounting threaded bosses for the mounting plate that the
Spitfires and GT6s use -
