Thanks for the info about this everyone. I'm going to abort the plan as I would
only want to fit it for specific journeys so I'm ruling out drilling holes.
Fortunately for me the Mk II has a removable rather than folding roof, so I've
got more flexibility about where I can stow luggage. Looking forward to
getting 2 people, camping stuff, juggling equipment and a unicycle in there in
a week or so...
