Mike-
First the manual- Watch e-bay, they come up all the time. Get a factory one,
much better than the aftermarket ones. (IMHO-Period!) Also, get a factory
parts manual at the same time.

Second, just about all parts for the car are easily found, albeit in
England, they are still very popular there, so you have many sources of high
quality to purchase from. The rubber bumpers run about $140. US for the full
set(average- Canley, Fitchett, and Rimmers all carry them. Fitchett runs
90GBP, and Rimmer 104GBP) All the sheet metal can be had new, as well as all
the mechanicals, etc. Don't fuss with problems- replace them! :)

Spitfire parts will, in general fit, but Spits have disk front brakes. Just
swap the whole mess over- much neater. As to rear and front drums, they look
to be the same, but I am not sure.

I don't know of any cross over manuals, but someone else may.

Take a look at my 64 Herald at www.homestead.com/herald1200/

Good luck with it,
Scott
